Fair Use Policy

It is the desire of Mel Montgomery Ministries that all of these recordings and writings be distributed as widely as possible for the purpose of evangelization, and for the edifying and instruction of the Body of Christ.  However, it is equally true that most, if not all, of these recordings and writings are copyrighted.  We believe that it is appropriate in the eyes of God and man to respect copyright laws.

With each recording featured on www.brothermel.com, and in the "Voices of the Faith Giants" podcast, Mel has sought out the speaker, the speaker's relatives or representatives, or those in authority over the venue at which these recordings were preached, and he asked their permission to host their copyrighted recordings.  If permission was denied, Mel Montgomery Ministries has respected the wishes of the copyright holders and not put those recordings on either his website or in podcast.

In seeking permission to use these recordings, the greatest concern Mel has heard from the various copyright holders is their desire that their recordings not be associated with teachings or with theological positions with which the speaker did not agree.  Mel has therefore been quite careful with every article and e-book he has written, and with every other recording he has uploaded to his website, to avoid associating with the recordings any materials that are in substantial disagreement with the theological positions of the speakers.

The Fair Use Policy that we have adopted concerning the audio recordings, writings and e-books, and videos, we make available on www.brothermel.com and in "Voices of the Faith Giants" podcast is as follows:

1. The recording or material may not be sold.
2. The recording or material may not be used for any commercial purpose.
3. The recording or material may not be altered in any way, including removing the verbal copyright statement at the end of each audio, removing the written statements at the beginning or end of each video, or removing the "About the Author" page at the end of each writing and e-book.  Materials must not be retitled.
4. Attribution must be given to the source of the recording or writing, i.e., www.brothermel.com or "Voices of the Faith Giants Podcast."
5. The recording or material may not be added into another recording or material and republished or rebroadcast.
6. The recording or material may not be posted onto any website or podcast without our written permission.
7. If written permission is given by Mel Montgomery Ministries to post the audio, video, or writing, on to a blog, a website, or into a podcast, such material will be offered only in the format into which MMM has published it.  For instance, a video offered by MMM through You Tube, must be offered by linking to, or embedding the You Tube player on to the blog, website, or into the podcast.  Audios, videos, or writings made available through our website, blog, or podcast, in an embeddable player, or in a PDF, must remain in the embeddable player or PDF format when placed on a blog, website, or used in any other way.
8. The recording or material may not be included into other audios, videos, or writings, and republished, posted, or copied without our written permission.

In short, most personal uses of these materials are OK.  If in doubt, contact Mel Montgomery at admin@brothermel.com.

Specifics Concerning Goodwin Materials:

Rev. Mel C. Montgomery has been appointed by Dr. Charles Goodwin--the owner of all Goodwin copyrights and intellectual properties--as the exclusive Copyright Agent for all audios, videos, documents, ministry materials, memorabilia, artifacts, books, and photographs, of or by the Rev. J.R. and Carmen Goodwin.  Dr. Goodwin reserves all rights concerning all materials by or of his parents.  To inquire about possible use, please contact Rev. Mel C. Montgomery at admin@brothermel.com.  As long as the Goodwin materials would be used in an appropriate manner, and not associated with ministries the Goodwins did not know of, approve of, or with ministries who take theological positions with which the Goodwins did not agree, MMM is more likely than not to grant permission to use.

MMM is willing to entertain requests for use of these materials, and usually grants reasonable requests.  Contact Mel at admin@brothermel.com.
